Hey, Botany Buddies! Your Botany Babe has still been creating. In fact, she's branched into using digital art to explore her imagination and branch out in her realm of freedom. The style of pop culture has somewhat become her next object of fascination. Not to say she studied it, nor planned it. It's simply what her hands are leading her to create, which must mean, it's authentically her.
I'm pleased to say, no screen or online image is the source of my inspiration for these particular art pieces. I have been obtaining reinvigoration from the world around me. Part of my secular job is landscaping and so as you can predict, I see flowers and plants everywhere I go. If I was trying to get away from it, I couldn't. So, just as nature is overflowing in my field of vision, it overflows in my field of artwork.
As for the lovely ladies in these portraits, I have been honoured enough to be able to draw inspiration from my own dear friends; ones I've grown up with or have had the pleasure of meeting along the way. They have become special to me in one way or another, bringing light into my life where it was previously duller than I'd have preferred, and for which, I am utmost grateful.
My new series is entitled "The Landlord's Garden." This is the first piece among the collection I have released. It is available in my Etsy Shop as a DIY printable for you. If I had a fireplace mantle, I know exactly what I'd use to decorate it with!
So, calling all book lovers, flower lovers, autumn/fall lovers, decorators/interior designers, moms, daughters, etc. etc. - Come and get it!
